Responsibility
- assist the Care Manager in the overall management and supervision of daily operations
- support the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs of each client
- provide guidance and support to carers, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
- monitor and assess the quality of care being provided, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- work with the Training Manager on regular staff training sessions and identify opportunities for professional development
- assist with the recruitment and selection of new carers, conducting interviews and participating in the hiring process
- collaborate with external healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- oversee the medication management process, ensuring accurate administration and record-keeping
Requirements
- hold a valid UK driving license
- possess a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field
- proven experience in a senior care role within a residential care or healthcare setting
- strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire care staff
- comprehensive knowledge of care regulations, policies, and procedures
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
- ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions under pressure
- exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
