Requirements

  • previous experience in a similar role/environment is essential
  • qualification in occupational health and safety, such as, NVQ, and/or NEBOSH national diploma is essential
  • it would be useful to have a current working knowledge of human resources in particular employee contractual laws and disciplinary procedures
  • effectively influence those at a senior level
  • extensive knowledge working with complex process machinery and integrated guarding systems. Knowledge of ways employees can attempt to defeat safety systems

Responsibility

Responsibility

  • ensures all raw material stock levels are maintained and available and taken to the necessary workstations on time
  • work closely with the production manager when overseeing the production process, drawing up production schedules and other operational needs
  • to organise the workflow to meet the specifications and deadlines
  • liaise closely when organising the repair and routine maintenance of all production equipment, paying particular attention to breakdowns and stoppages
  • monitor and overview the specialist printing technicians liaising directly with the printing manager
  • ensure staffing is managed in a cost-effective way to meet deadlines and within budgets
  • coach and manage all team leaders to deliver company KPI’s
  • liaises closely with the warehouse operation. Ensure incoming raw materials mainly tissue roles, packaging and film, and finished boxed products delivered and removed in a timely manner to and from the warehouse areas

Responsibility

  • the job covers 3 areas – setting the machines, preventative maintenance, and emergency maintenance
  • as a Maintenance Engineer, you will, set, service and repair napkin production machinery and equipment. You will have to work on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • responding immediately to machinery breakdowns
  • carrying out scheduled overhaul and replacing parts that have reached the end of their working life
  • conduct routine maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment
  • making scheduled checks on machinery and parts
  • finding and fixing faults, and setting the production line
  • fixing faults

Requirements

  • able to work on own initiative and make decisions based on knowledge and experience
  • constantly be able to demonstrate a passion for engineering and continuous improvement
  • manufacturing environment preferred
  • ability to problem solve and be driven to complete complex tasks and issues
  • team player who is able to adapt to fast paced environment
  • preferred 5 years experience in similar environment
  • 50 / 50 electrical to maintenance bias
