- play Work Level 3 qualification desirable
- N.N.E.B/NVQ level 3 or QCF level 3 equivalent essential
- nursery: 3 years
- childcare: 3 years
Responsibility
- provide stimulation to the children
- maintain a safe and secure environment for the children
- maintain the safety, security and physical and emotional welfare of the children in the nursery
- work positively within the team structure and be included in staff duty rosters
- attend staff meetings/training courses outside normal working hours
- have clear understanding of how to safeguard children, staff and parents
- plan, organise, supervise and carry out a suitable programme for the age/abilities of the children in your care, under the direction of senior officers and also alone
- maintain children’s records through observation and appropriate record keeping
