Requirements
- 2 Years Experience as a merchandiser/purchasing assistant, or a similar analytical role, who loves data
- strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- strong data analysis and reporting skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- knowledge of the interiors/lighting industry and related products is advantageous but not essential
Responsibility
- assist the Purchasing Manager with the ordering process, ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs to maintain inventory levels
- generate and send purchase orders
- manage and update internal databases with order details, including expected delivery dates
- assist the Purchasing Manager in communicating with the finance team to organise supplier invoice payments
- conducting data analysis of inventory levels to identify potential shortages or excess stock, optimising inventory levels to reduce costs and improve efficiency, and tracking inventory turnover rates
- follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders and ensure timely delivery
- use historical data and market trends to forecast future demand for inventory items to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained and prevent stockouts
