Responsibility

  • we are hiring a skilled Caretaker and Maintenance Worker to join our friendly team at APPS LIVING
  • you will be responsible for maintaining multiple sites close by, ensuring clean and safe communal areas for residents
  • this part-time/flexible role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • regularly check and maintain communal areas, including cleaning and collecting bins
  • key responsibilities include regular maintenance checks, minor repairs, cleaning, and following health and safety policies
  • report major repair or replacement needs
  • follow Health & Safety and COSHH requirements
  • carry out minor repairs and maintenance

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • strong practical background in building maintenance
  • physically fit for moving and lifting
  • understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements
  • ability to work independently
  • full driving license and willingness to use own vehicle
  • first aid and Fire Safety trained or willingness to train
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
