Responsibility

• assist with the positioning and installation of catering equipment as required on site
• assisting with the installation of onsite plumbing under guidance of the lead engineer
• assist with the construction of onsite links and ramps

• assist with the installation of PKL kitchen units under the guidance of the site supervisor
• preparation of materials in readiness for site installs
• on occasion go out with the delivery drivers and assist with the unloading and marshalling of catering equipment
• general site and PKL location housekeeping duties ensuring the various projects areas are always kept clean and tidy, ensuring materials returning from site are cleaned and returned to storage
• the principal role is Junior Plumber/Event Installation Assistant, but work will also include, depending on the needs of the business, similar duties to the above, including general maintenance, at the PKL head office site
• ensure that all HASAW requirements are met and that PKL’s HASAW policy is followed

Requirements

• CSCS card preferred
• basic knowledge of the construction industry useful but not essential
• basic plumbing skills. Speed fit and copper

• to minimise any waste of water, gas and electricity by ensuring taps are switched off after use and electrical items are switched off when not in use
• complete all works to quality standards and SWP’s set out by PKL
• carry out repairs of Portable Kitchen Units as and when required
• occasional travel to site in order to complete repairs and/or commission items of equipment or kitchen installations as required
• execute comprehensive inspections to ensure that all functional requirements are met
• assist and support the Technical Support Department as required
• look after all PPE and report any issues or damages
