Steve first quoted me in January 2024 for pointing the front of my house. I went with Steve because he was knowledgeable about my old house and the lime pointing that would be better for it. Over a year later, multiple excuses of why the work has not been completed, broken promises, money taken and now no contact at all…I have had to resort to writing this review and appoint someone else to complete the work I had paid Steve to do.

Steve promised refunds, that he would come back and complete however all he’s done is leave me with no pointing whatsoever and has created further damage to my house. I am an extremely patient person and I was nothing but accommodating when his van broke down, was crashed or when family members had appointments.

I last rung Steve on 6th January 2025, which is a year since I was quoted. To date I have had no communication from Steve since 15th November 2024. From November 24 to December 2024, I have messaged 5 times with no response.

I’m so disappointed in something I can’t even call a service and I have all communication to prove the lack of commitment to finishing the job he agreed to do.

I’m sure he can do a great job, but don’t pay in installments like I did until he’s finished and to the standard you agreed.
Nothing short of a disgrace and I couldn't recommend him to anyone in good faith.

Paid Steve niven to re felt and baton and re install slates on house roof. He started the job in December 2023 it's now nearly September 2024 and he still hasn't finished it. I also gave him a large deposit fir another re roof but not even started it. My gutters of which I paid extra for are too short therefore rain constantly drips from the end beadings and leaks from the joints,I still have no downpipes connected and he's now changed his mobile number and refuses to get in touch. He has ran away with my money and left my roof needing work. DO NOT USE STEVE NIVEN. HE TAKES YOUR MONEY AND DOESNT FINISH THE JOB. I'm taking him to court.
