communications manager

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • collaboratively build an annual communications schedule, incorporating project announcements, PR opportunities, industry awards, events, speaking engagements, and other relevant communications opportunities
  • oversee communication outputs covering the London and Dublin studios as well as firmwide messaging and initiatives
  • work collaboratively and supportively with the communications team to deliver workflows and tasks at a consistently high standard
  • confidently respond both promptly and appropriately to internal and external communications requests
  • closely liaising with the wider communications and project teams, being mindful of confidentiality and client relationships
  • proactively manage and lead day to day contact with our PR support agency to deliver against strategic aspirations and actions
  • develop activation plans around thought leadership and campaign programmes in collaboration with the Marketing and Business Development Director
  • lead on project photography, case studies, and collateral

Requirements

  • have a strong understanding of social media
  • personal attributes
  • have excellent writing skills, close attention to detail, and an ability to write and edit appropriate texts for a range of different purposes
  • command an understanding of the UK and international media landscape, primarily in architecture and design media but also national and international press
  • possess a level of knowledge and a strong interest in architecture and design and their role in our culture, society, and communities
  • ideally understand the life cycle of architecture projects, and key milestones within them, as well as pertinent themes in the profession and construction industry
  • multi-tasker: An ability to incorporate press, digital and traditional marketing efforts simultaneously to meet deadlines
