Responsibility
primarily based at our Heywood depot to oversee all logistics across 3 sites including Transport and Warehouse
oversee all shifts at the depot
coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision with a full understanding on how the warehouse contributes to these
keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
plan future capacity requirements
organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Requirements
excellent oral and written communication skills
numeracy and an understanding of finance for stock management
people management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas
teamworking skills
planning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stock
experience of working in a team and dealing with people in a warehouse setting is important. Forklift licences will be required . Having experience of working in a supervisory role is also advantageous

Requirements
proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse is essential
experience operating counter balance, articulated forklifts and other materials handling equipment is required
ability to work under pressure and have a proven record of achieving targets
ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities is necessary
experience in stock control, with an eye for detail and accuracy

we are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role, overseeing a small team and ensuring the smooth running of our night operations
ensure stock takes are carried out each night
ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment
monitor staff performance and provide guidance and training as needed
maintain accurate records of warehouse activities
supervise and coordinate nightly warehouse operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, accurately and safely, checking all orders and ensuring all vehicles are loaded for the next day
