  • this is a rare vacancy
  • we are looking for a chef to join our unique cake business. We make cakes, shortbreads, flapjacks and Vegetarian flans and pies for supply nationwide. We bake by hand, authentically, no short cuts, and with minimal machinery
  • are you a talented Chef or Baker looking for better hours with no weekend or evening work?
  • you would need to have a feel and flair for baking, be able to work at a good pace whilst maintaining the quality of your work, and up to the demands of a physical job, preferably with experience of large scale catering such as Contract Catering or Food Production
  • great hours for the catering trade, Monday to Friday with a 7.30 start. Peck and Strong is company with a strong ethos and a positive working environment, good rate of pay, generous bonus scheme, 5% pension contribution
  • 23 days' leave plus bank holidays we even shut down between Christmas and New Year, along with a staff discount on our products
