Responsibility
- line management of staff team members including responsibility for team meetings, 1-2-1’s, staff rota scheduling
- key holder for the nursery and responsible for the premises in absence of the manager
- deputy designated officer responsibilities
- ensure that the nursery meets and exceeds the requirements of Social Services Minimum Standards for Childcare
- support the manager in development & implementation of nursery development plans
- working in collaboration with the nursery owner & manager to provide a safe, fun, high quality childcare experience for the families attending our setting
- driving responsibilities for drop / off collections to local schools
- communicating on a daily basis with parents via e mail, phone & nursery apps to answer queries and promote the activities of the nursery
Requirements
- minimum 2 years paid experience in working with children under age 12 in a supervisory position
- valid driving licence to fulfil day to day school pick ups
- essential: Candidates must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent
- childcare: 2 years
- supervisory: 1 year
