quantity surveyor
Responsibility
- prepare cost estimates and budgets for commercial construction projects generally up to £5M
- work as part of a bid team when estimating
- analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings
- collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost planning
- monitor project progress and provide regular cost reports
- identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering solutions
- review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors including paying accounts
- conduct monthly valuations and monitor payments
Requirements
- proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
- proven experience as an Estimator or similar role
- strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
- training will be provided for 4PS Construct software
- excellent analytical and numerical skills
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- effective communication and negotiation skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
