- fit and weld components, ensuring Health and Safety obligations are met at all times
- read and comprehend instructions/drawings and follow established procedures
- ensure any tolerance issues found when in production are brought to the attention of the design department at the earliest opportunity
- prepare surfaces prior to welding
- check finished jobs as part of quality control to ensure correct dimensional specification has been achieved

Requirements

- proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment
- experience in welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- MIG and TIG welding experience
- cutting, bending and welding skills
- able to set up and operate saws to cut hollow section
- able to set up and operate pillar drills
- able to read engineering drawings
