Responsibility
as a BMS Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, programming, and commissioning building management systems
your expertise will contribute to creating efficient, comfortable, and sustainable environments for our clients
you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities by implementing advanced control strategies, monitoring system performance, and optimizing energy consumption
develop and implement control strategies using industry-standard communication protocol
perform periodic system audits to identify potential operational issues and recommend corrective actions
conduct system commissioning, functional testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper system operation
collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of BMS into the overall building infrastructure
Education
GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential
proven experience in designing, programming, and commissioning building management systems, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
proficiency in industry-standard BMS programming languages and protocols
strong knowledge of HVAC systems, control theory, and energy management principles
knowledge and hands-on experience with either Trend, Tridium, Schneider or Innotech software/hardware
excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues
effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders
self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
