Responsibility

  • as a BMS Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, programming, and commissioning building management systems
  • your expertise will contribute to creating efficient, comfortable, and sustainable environments for our clients
  • you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities by implementing advanced control strategies, monitoring system performance, and optimizing energy consumption
  • develop and implement control strategies using industry-standard communication protocol
  • perform periodic system audits to identify potential operational issues and recommend corrective actions
  • conduct system commissioning, functional testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper system operation
  • collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of BMS into the overall building infrastructure

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential
  • proven experience in designing, programming, and commissioning building management systems, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
  • proficiency in industry-standard BMS programming languages and protocols
  • strong knowledge of HVAC systems, control theory, and energy management principles
  • knowledge and hands-on experience with either Trend, Tridium, Schneider or Innotech software/hardware
  • excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues
  • effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders
  • self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
