  • partnership Care London is recruiting energetic, dedicated, experienced Autism Support Workers for Day Centre and Home Care Services in Tower Hamlets
  • monday to Sunday flexible hour
  • supports create activities that are tailored to our service user’s needs, including outings into the community that promote independence and dignity
  • position: Day Centre Autism Support Worker/Driver/`Home Care Assistant
  • job Types: Full Time, Part Time, Relief Bank Worker- Zero Hour
  • schedule: Monday to Saturday + Overtime
  • supporting our service user with ASD/ Autism, ADHD, Mild to Moderate Learning Difficulties Complex Needs, Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties , sensory and communication impairments
  • licence/Certification: Minibus Driving Licence

Requirements

  • many of the service users will communicate non-verbally, so being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal
  • you must be comfortable with personal care
  • communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families, colleagues and other professionals
  • have strong interpersonal and working relationship skills
  • as an Autism Support Worker, you will be supporting service users with ASD/ADHD Autism, sensory and communication impairments, Mild to Moderate Learning Difficulties , Complex Needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties
  • the ability to listen sensitively to others, have good verbal communication skills and use the service users' preferred method of communication
  • as an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with other staff members and the multidisciplinary therapy team. Recent experience and a genuine passion for working with service users are essential
  • ability to work in a calm, patient and tolerant manner at a pace appropriate to the needs of the individual
