Responsibility

  • the Outside Café is a small, busy café in the heart of the Peak District
  • the successful applicant will work with the Café Manager and have creative input into menu changes, daily specials and daily bakes
  • situated above a bustling outdoor gear shop, we have been feeding up climbers, walkers, runners, shoppers and all visitors, with a selection of freshly prepared breakfasts, hot meals, cakes and teas, for over thirty years
  • we're looking for a reliable, efficient and friendly cook and supervisor, to welcome onto our team. We’ll be really happy to hear from an experienced cook but can also train the right person for the role
  • you’ll also supervise a small team of café assistants and act as Duty Manager, dealing with any customer service requirements and closing the café when the Café Manager is not present
  • you’ll be needed around 32-40 hours per week, working weekdays and some weekend hours, between 09:00 and 17:30
  • ensuring all policies, procedures, hygiene standards and guidelines are met
  • acting as Duty Manager
