Responsibility
- we are currently recruiting for an HR Manager to support the teams at both branches
- legal compliance knowledge is essential to keep up to date in areas such as minimum wage, holidays, sickness and disciplinary procedures
- assistance will be required for the Operations and Branch Managers where necessary with any people related issues
- otford Builders Merchants is a family run business based at two sites at Otford and Ashford in Kent employing approximately 55 members of staff
- payroll knowledge is desirable including running the monthly payroll, year end procedures and P11ds
- the successful candidate will be experienced in the full spectrum of HR management including but not limited to selection, recruitment, onboarding ,training and appraisals through to disciplinaries and resignations
- HR strategies will also need to be maintained and developed to align with the overall ethos of the business. Areas will include systems, policies, procedures and HR metrics
- the role will require working as part of the Senior Management team to maintain the day to day running of business activities
Requirements
- CIPD level 5
- proven work experience as an HR Manager
- competency to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships
- knowledge of HR systems and databases
- in depth knowledge of HR legal guidelines
