Requirements
- educated to degree level OR with equivalent professional experience
- previous, proven fundraising experience
- A minimum of two years general office and/or administrative experience
- experience of working with third party fundraisers and volunteers similar
- strong communication skills, both written and oral
- demonstrable experience and working knowledge of excellent donor care and stewardship
- the ability to communicate and engage positively with colleagues at all levels, the public and other supporters
- proven record of successful bid writing
Responsibility
- work closely with all departments to acquire detailed project information for funding proposals
- recruiting volunteers to ensure the smooth running of events
- handling cash and cheques received, issuing of receipts and letters of acknowledgement
- arrange cheque presentations with maximum press coverage as appropriate
- liaising with all heads of departments to request their written contribution to the Annual Report
- obtain quotes for printing of the Annual Report for consideration by the Orthopaedic Institute Trustees
- maintain a library of suitable images for promotional material
