- establishing a procurement strategy with a focus on improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness to the wider business
- developing the procurement policy, procedures and roll-out to users
- developing and managing an approved set of suppliers
- optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with this well-established business based on the outskirts of Pontefract, who are recruiting for a Procurement Manager to the team
- implementing effective supplier managements techniques
- reporting to the CFO, this is a stand-alone role and therefore the key focus is the expectation of driving, implementing and developing procurement and supplier relationship strategies along with the relevant processes, to source goods and services, for use within the organisation
- managing the supplier contracts and compliance documentation
- conducting due diligence and credit checks with prospective suppliers including legal and professional compliance relating to HSE standards etc
Requirements
- do you have procurement experience in similar role and with a proven track record in cost saving initiatives?
- do you have exceptional contract negotiation and contract management skills?
- do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills?
