Responsibility
- learning and understanding about different grades and uses of ferrous, and non-ferrous metals
- building relationships with new and existing customers and making them successful in their markets
- understanding processing capabilities and then upselling them to customers
- building excellent working relationships with suppliers
- building excellent working relationships with suppliers to ensure the best cost prices are achieved
- following through orders from quotation to P.O.D, ensuring the customer receives the best service possible. Identifying areas to develop on individual accounts
Requirements
- good telephone manner, as well as face to face when required
- quick learner and able to pick up and develop new skills
- IT literate
- good mathematical skills, working out weights, kilo rates and margins
- the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- proactive, pipeline and data building application skills are highly valued
- being proactive during quiet periods to generate enquiries
- we are looking for someone with experience in either a sales, manufacturing, purchasing, or a customer service role. A background in any type of the metal industry would be a distinct advantage
