plant mechanic
Working hours
- full-time
Responsibility
- installing temporary workshop/marquee heating & HVAC systems on film locations and at major studio sites in and around London
- assist with all relevant heater & equipment servicing
- allocate equipment to go on hire and check in returned equipment
- carry out general maintenance & servicing of all on-hire electrical cables, heaters, trailers and road tow bowsers
- PAT testing
- ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times
- ensure orders are correctly sorted before going out on hire
Requirements
- previous experience of temporary power supplies and/or mechanical knowledge
- previous experience of working in a mechanical field
- excellent servicing and fault-finding skills
- ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- strong communication skills, written and verbal
- A professional and helpful attitude to work
- ability to communicate face to face with customers
- good problem solving skills
