fabricator
Responsibility
- fabricate and build scenery, stage sets, exhibition stands, and furniture based on designs and specifications
- work closely with the fabrication team to plan resources, tools, and timelines for each project
- ensure all workshop tasks are completed to a high-quality finish and within specified timeframes
- assist with the installation and breakdown of scenic elements on-site, ensuring client satisfaction
- maintain a safe and organised workshop, managing tools, materials, and stock
- adhere to company Health & Safety regulations, completing required documentation
- collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the smooth running of projects both in the workshop and on-site
Contract type
- full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Requirements
- proven carpentry experience with strong practical skills in fabrication
- experience using CAD software for scenic design
- understanding of set, scenery, exhibition, and furniture fabrication materials
- forklift truck licence and a valid driving licence
- good knowledge of the safe use of power and hand tools in line with Health & Safety standards
- excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a client-focused approach
- strong organisational and time-management abilities
