Responsibility
- we need someone who can multitask - from baking different breads and T-cakes, to making traditional english confectionary items
- you should have experience in baking a large number of items and be good at baking from scratch
- ideally, you've worked in a similar job for at least two years
- assist the Head Baker in the preparation and production of a variety of breads, including sourdough, whole grain, and artisan loaves
- measure, mix, and weigh ingredients according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in all products
- shape, proof, and bake breads to achieve desired texture and appearance
- decorate and finish confections using various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and garnishing
- work quickly to meet deadlines
Requirements
- previous experience in bread making or baking, preferably in a commercial bakery setting
- previous experience in confectionery baking, preferably in a commercial bakery setting
- strong knowledge of various bread-making techniques, including mixing, shaping, and baking
- strong knowledge of various confectionery-making techniques, including mixing, baking, and decorating
- passion for baking and a desire to learn and grow within the industry
