Requirements
AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification is preferred
degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is desirable but not essential
experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
knowledge of UK financial regulations, VAT, and HMRC guidelines
to succeed in this role, you will need strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail
previous experience in bookkeeping or finance-related roles
your ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, will be crucial. You must be able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing financial priorities as required
experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting within a business environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with UK financial regulations, VAT returns, and HMRC compliance will also be beneficial
Responsibility
maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
you will be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reporting requirements
processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims, ensuring timely payments and accurate record keeping
managing bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
development of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency
supporting budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing financial data and reports
preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
supporting payroll processing by maintaining accurate records of employee hours, expenses, and deductions
