Responsibility
- manage the direct debit process by collecting and processing payments from customers
- verify the accuracy of direct debit information and update customer records as necessary
- investigate and resolve any issues or errors related to direct debit transactions
- monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances
- follow up with customers via phone, email, or other communication channels to collect overdue payments
- work closely with the finance team to establish and enforce credit control policies and procedures
- assist with the drawn down process, which involves releasing funds to customers or dealerships based on approved financing agreements
- maintain accurate records of drawn downs and ensure proper documentation is archived
Requirements
- A minimum of a years of experience in a similar finance administration role, preferably within the automotive or financial services industry
- proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications
- strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- excellent organisational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including invoicing, purchase orders, credit control, and payment processes
- familiarity with contract hire and Hire Purchase agreements would be advantageous
- A high level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
