Responsibility
- understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
- ensure that company policies and procedures are read, applied, reviewed regularly and adhered to by all
- observe, support and extend children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with the highest quality and relevance
- ensure positive partnerships with parents/carers with thorough handover on daily collection and encourage their involvement in the nursery
- ensure children are supervised and attended to at all times, maintaining appropriate staff:child ratios
- undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- ensure that each child’s individual needs are met and a high standard of professional care and education is delivered in a caring, safe and secure environment in which all children can play, learn and develop
- observe, assess and plan an interesting, stimulating and challenging range of early years activities which supports each child’s individual learning and development needs and abilities
Requirements
- full and relevant Level 2/Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
- over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
- knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
- nursery: 1 year
