Responsibility
1\. Build trusting relationships with young people through active listening, empathy, and understanding
2\. Provide practical support, guidance, and advice to young individuals, assisting them in developing essential life skills
4\. Encourage and facilitate the engagement and participation of young people in community activities, education, employment, and training opportunities
5\. Organize and deliver group workshops and activities that promote personal development, resilience, and positive mental health
6\. Supervise and accompany young people during external activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
3\. Collaborate with a diverse team to develop and implement individual support plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each young person
7\. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided, progress, and any incidents or concerns, adhering to data protection and confidentiality policies
Requirements
\- Prior experience in supporting young people aged 16-25, ideally within a care or counselling setting
\- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to engage effectively with young individuals, their families, and external stakeholders
\- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage your workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks accordingly
\- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people, such as homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or involvement with the criminal justice system
\- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the young individuals
