Responsibility
- provide financial direction for the business, driving short-term and long-range financial planning
- assess business performance and present detailed results to company directors and the executive team
- ensure month, quarter, and year-end closing processes are completed accurately and on time
- develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards
- provide guidance and support to the finance team, developing members of the team to take on additional responsibilities
- collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and objectives
- drive financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to the Executive team
- maintain accurate and up-to-date information for HMRC and other stakeholders
Requirements
- at least 5 years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably within an Engineering or High Value Capital Equipment manufacturing business
- CIMA/ACCA qualified
- experiences in leading and coaching a Finance department
- strong Financial and Commercial acumen
- excellent attention to detail
- strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- possesses a courage of conviction, be forthright and able to voice your opinion to influence key decision making
