Requirements
- evidence of general education e.g. GCSE’s or equivalent
- NVQ III in Health care or equivalent qualification in the area of speciality
- must have evidence of continuous development
- NAPPI Training Level 1
- previous experience of working as a support worker in a hospital or registered care setting
- experience working with clients with learning disabilities, mental health, challenging behaviour and physical disabilities
- clear and accurate written and verbal communication
- managerial/Supervisory experience in a health and social care setting
Responsibility
- supervise support workers on a day-to-day basis and through formal supervision processes
- to manage and inspect allocated homes and ensure they are maintained at high standard
- ensure that areas of identified risk are appropriately monitored, and outcomes recorded, acted upon or escalated to senior managers as appropriate
- liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and care support they require
- to attend CPA reviews and MDT meetings
- provide effective leadership and support for all supervisors and care support workers to act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity
