NVQ III in Health care or equivalent qualification in the area of speciality
must have evidence of continuous development
NAPPI Training Level 1
previous experience of working as a support worker in a hospital or registered care setting
experience working with clients with learning disabilities, mental health, challenging behaviour and physical disabilities
clear and accurate written and verbal communication
managerial/Supervisory experience in a health and social care setting
Responsibility
supervise support workers on a day-to-day basis and through formal supervision processes
to manage and inspect allocated homes and ensure they are maintained at high standard
ensure that areas of identified risk are appropriately monitored, and outcomes recorded, acted upon or escalated to senior managers as appropriate
liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and care support they require
to attend CPA reviews and MDT meetings
provide effective leadership and support for all supervisors and care support workers to act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity
