quantity surveyor
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- undertaking site/quantity surveys to establish suitability for construction
- assessing a potential projects current planning applications and conditions
- reviewing project suitability for obtaining planning consent to include appointing and liaising with consultants to procure through planning stages
- monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work
- reviewing legal title of any said land/buildings and referring/liaising any potential issues to our legal team
- detailing building condition and landscaping reports
- producing schedule of works for potential projects
- analysing high level cost and capital expenditure for any potential build projects
Requirements
- relevant RICS or other industry qualification and/or degree in building surveying
- competence in all aspects of building and development surveying, including construction standards, building law and regulations
- at least 2 years’ experience in an industry relevant role
- good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- self-motivated with good initiative
- well organised with effective management skills
- IT skills, including knowledge of industry-specific software
