Responsibility
- prepare and cook a variety of cakes and bakes using local produce wherever possible
- prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks on our chef's days off in line with current recipes and presentation
- ensure food preparation meets food safety standards and regulations
- assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen area
- help with stock rotation and storage of ingredient
- work additional hours when chef is on annual leave
Requirements
- proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment
- particular skills as a pastry chef or baker, producing delicious cakes and pastries that are beautifully presented
- knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- excellent teamwork and communication abilities
