Responsibility

  • to work with colleagues to meet the needs of young people and families in a safe, effective and joined up way
  • develop and improve the services and support provided, supporting colleagues by listening and sharing skills, experience and knowledge
  • provide information and advice, informed by experience and best practice
  • to contribute to the safe and effective running of Northorpe Hall Trust and implementing plans, policies and procedures
  • to contribute to the safe and effective running of the organisation and implementing plans, policies and procedures
  • to develop good working relationships with other Northorpe Hall staff and volunteers
  • assist in the planning of activities to meet the support needs of children and families
  • provide reports and information about the service as required

Requirements

  • have a degree in an appropriate subject or a relevant recognised higher education / professional qualification
  • you will have completed some continued professional development in supporting children, young people and families
  • be competent in using information technology to maintain records and communicate
  • be emotionally resilient, knowledgeable, and positive about working with young people facing multiple challenges in their lives
  • be eligible to work in the UK, providing evidence of ID as required
  • have experience of working with families and young people experiencing mental health difficulties, including teenagers. The equivalent of one year’s full time work in this sort of role is a minimum
  • have at least two years’ experience of working with children and young people, individually and in a group setting with SEMH needs
  • be eligible to work in the UK
