financial controller
Responsibility
- budgeting; budget and 5-year plan; last estimates; monthly performance analysis and management reports; monitoring of key action plans
- ensure financial documentation is correctly and safely stored, providing financial visibility to the local MD as necessary
- involvement on key commercial contracts
- monthly closing, including checking accuracy of reports and making necessary adjustments; margin analysis; financial closing of projects; preparation of country files
- weekly invoicing checks
- monitoring of key financial topics, including order intake; sales invoices; margins; vendor rebates; customer payments and overdues; SG&A costs; KPIs with respect to key strategic priorities
- annual closing and involvement in the audit work and process performed by external auditors
- oversee and help implement the local payroll, commissions and bonus process in conjunction with local MD and HR, providing the necessary support to the management team
Requirements
- organised and professional with the ability to multi-task
- hold or be studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification
- strong understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
- experience in a similar role
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- meticulous attention to detail
- excellent influencing and negotiating skills
- strong leadership and people management skills
