Contract type

  • 10 positions available covering the areas of Lichfield, Tamworth & Sutton Coldfield
  • nexus Care Services are hiring a team of weekend carers on a contract basis
  • the blocks available are Friday nights from 5pm to 10pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 7am - 2pm and/or 5pm - 10pm
  • the position requires a commitment of 20 hours per weekend and for you to be able to commit to 4 blocks out of 5

care coordinator

Responsibility

  • organise the rota for the next two weeks
  • lead the rota team daily with tasks/ responsibilities
  • manage carer availability
  • allocate shadowing of new carers
  • ensure that client preferences are adhered to in line with the company service promises
  • conduct continuous check-in chats with carers to promote staff welfare and increase availability
  • communicate effectively with clients and carers via phone, email, or social group chats. Ensure that all communication is documented on the in house system Care Planner
  • to work closely with the Operations Managers to communicate any issues of concern daily

Requirements

  • excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • strong communication skills to interact with carers, clients and families
  • proficient in office software applications for data entry and record keeping
  • empathetic and compassionate approach towards clients' needs
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • provide leadership to the coordinating team, always acting as a positive role model
  • to demonstrate an understanding of an effective Planning structure
