Requirements
- proven experience as a sports coach or similar role, preferably in a camp or youth sports setting
- strong knowledge of one or more sports, with the ability to teach fundamental skills and advanced techniques
- coaching certifications or licenses from recognized sports organizations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young athletes
- previous experience working in a summer camp or similar youth programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- level 2 qualification in a recognised sport
- experience working with children in a coaching or teaching environment
Responsibility
- deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions across a range of activities
- plan, organise, and implement engaging sports programs and activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- provide high-quality coaching in one or more sports, including but not limited to football, basketball, tennis, swimming, and athletics
- encourage participation, teamwork, and skill development
- foster a positive and inclusive camp environment where all children feel welcomed and encouraged to participate
- set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions
- demonstrate and teach proper techniques, tactics, and sportsmanship
