Requirements
- proven experience as a sports coach or similar role, preferably in a camp or youth sports setting
- strong knowledge of one or more sports, with the ability to teach fundamental skills and advanced techniques
- coaching certifications or licenses from recognized sports organizations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young athletes
- previous experience working in a summer camp or similar youth programs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children and sports
Responsibility
- plan, organise, and implement engaging sports programs and activities tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- provide high-quality coaching in one or more sports, including but not limited to football, basketball, tennis, swimming, and athletics
- foster a positive and inclusive camp environment where all children feel welcomed and encouraged to participate
- demonstrate and teach proper techniques, tactics, and sportsmanship
- monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all campers during sports activities
- communicate effectively with campers, parents, and camp staff to provide updates and address any concerns
- evaluate campers' performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills
- assist with camp setup, breakdown, and any other administrative duties as required
