- this is an exciting time at Newcastle United and we are looking for talented individuals to help us on our journey. To help us deliver on our ambitious plans we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant – Accounts Payable
- in this role, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Accounts payable function, to ensure that invoices are input in an accurate and timely manner, to ensure that suppliers are paid to any agreed payment terms

- you will support with the smooth operation of the purchase ledger function by ensuring internal procedures are followed by all departments, specifically, making sure Purchase Orders are raised and attached and ensuring invoices are coded and processed correctly
- you will have previous experience of working in a fast paced accounts department in a similar role, you will be comfortable with dealing with suppliers on the phone, and have working knowledge of VAT recovery rules
