Responsibility
- take a leadership role in the estimating department, mentoring junior estimators and supporting their professional growth
- engage with existing & potential clients in a professional and strategic manner to develop long-term business relationships
- prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for large-scale projects
- attitude
- review and analyse tender documents, take-offs, and technical specifications
- work closely with Designers, Wholesalers, and Sub-contractors to ensure competitive pricing and value engineering
- conduct site visits, surveys, and project meetings to gain a clear understanding of project requirements
- ensure client requirements are met while maintaining required business margins and profitability
Requirements
- applicants must be UK-based with the right to work in the UK
- experience using Trimble Enterprise Software
- minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical estimating within the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors
- experience with CAD software
- strong knowledge of electrical installations, materials, and pricing strategies
- experience with auto count software
- ability to lead and manage the estimating function, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- experience with SimPro or similar job management software
