Responsibility
- support R&D team in attaining short-term and long-term product development goals
- provide written and verbal reports on work, including analysis of process and product operations
- modify formulations to fit larger scale operations
- lead development for the production of recipes at large scale
- understand process requirements and identify new equipment for various food processing steps both for bench-top and larger scale experiments
- conduct pilot-scale experiments and test new equipment at various vendors
- establish parameters for each processing step at bench-top and optimize them for larger scale runs
- optimize processes and equipment to ensure high-quality products are being produced
Requirements
- excellent knowledge of food processing equipment and scale-up
- knowledge of food safe production practices and regulations
- strong oral and written communication skills and good organization skills
- be able to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse, dynamic team
- ability to think independently and manage multiple projects
