Requirements
- technical expertise in materials handling or related industries is essential, along with experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- A background in electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and servicing is also required
- you should take genuine pride in your work, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest possible standard
- you’ll also need to be IT-literate and confident using modern technology to maintain accurate records and place orders efficiently
- additional qualifications and experience, such as LOLER, IPAF, or Pyroban/Miretti training, would be highly advantageous. A full UK driver’s licence is essential for this role
- we are looking for someone with a strong, professional approach to customer service, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to use their initiative effectively
- the ideal candidate will be a team player but equally capable of working independently when needed. A keen enthusiasm to represent our company brand in a knowledgeable and professional manner is crucial
Responsibility
- ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained consistently within your van
- alert the senior engineers to issues of risk
- carrying out routine service inspections
- undertake any other duties consistent with the post
- reporting incidents and accidents
- ensuring correct PPE is worn for the appropriate task
- ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards
