Responsibility
- supporting a strong focus on people by leading, motivating and encouraging direct reports to share ideas in process improvements
- adequately maintain all site areas; plant equipment; fixture and fittings, within the framework of best practice and 5S disciplines
- manage direct costs and overheads to ensure optimal operational performances, customer satisfaction and company profitability
- provide the company with accurate and timely reporting of information relating to specific criteria
- initiate, report and complete lean manufacturing projects in line with company objectives
- actively contribute to site management programmes including strategic and tactical decision-making when required
- pro-actively champion a safe culture within the organisation. Lead EHS requirements ensuring operations on the site are conducted safely and without risk to employee/visitor health and well-being
- pro-actively embedding a culture of ‘Right First Time’
Requirements
- experience of operating within formal quality standards and procedures e.g., ISO9001 and/or ISO13485
- engineering discipline or equivalent
- solid understanding of SQCDP and lean principles
- significant period of practical experience in Modern Manufacturing Techniques
- project Management
- high level of numerical and analytical ability
- minimum of 5 years of Operational/Lean leadership experience at a similar level within a manufacturing environment, providing high quality products to demanding customers
- direct customer facing experience
