Responsibility
- lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints
- construct walls, arches, and other structures using proper techniques for strength and stability
- mix mortar and other bonding agents as required for different types of projects
- operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete masonry tasks
- collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution
- conduct repairs on existing brickwork, including re-pointing and replacing damaged bricks
- maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- follow all safety regulations and protocols while working on-site
Requirements
- proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential
- familiarity with operating power tools such as saws, drills, and mixers is required
- experience with hand tools commonly used in masonry work is necessary
- knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous but not mandatory
- ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred
- strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
