Responsibility
- commission new network equipment, including routers, switches and CPEs
- onboard wholesaler providers by configuring and testing trial services
- location MS3 Networks, Owen house, Owen Avenue, Priory Park West, HU13 9PD
- test and troubleshoot network problems on the access network
- provide technical support to wholesale providers and end customers
- visit and diagnose issues at customer premises
- as a Junior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the production network infrastructure, with a focus on the ISP's access networks
- this includes commissioning new network equipment, onboarding wholesaler providers, testing and fault finding, and providing technical support to users which may involve on site visits
Requirements
- applicants must have a full UK driving license
- A UK recognised network training certificate
- previous experience in network engineering
- strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies
- experience configuring network equipment
- excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of the Python programming language advantageous
