Working hours
- full-time
Responsibility
- all work is self employed
- must have full driving licence
- digging trenches and excavating areas for construction projects
- main duties will be to assist in gas network operations which will include assisting a machine operator to excavate ground safely to disconnect old gas pipes to replace with new pipework
- assisting with the installation and repair of underground utilities, such as water and gas pipes
- no skills are required as long as you are willing to work and learn there is good access to training in the gas industry
- operating hand tools and power equipment, such as jackhammers and compactors
- must be willing to work away from home for 2/3 months a year but only monday to friday. all costs covered plus bonus
Requirements
- previous experience in construction or manual labor preferred, but not required
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
- basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment is a plus
- construction: 1 year
