MOVE ON is looking for employees for positions:
van driver
Responsibility
- ensure the safe loading and unloading of products, including heavy lifting as required
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered
- communicating with site managers and customers
- handling/loading timber and furniture on and off vans
- deliver customer furniture orders
- communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes
- driving our 3.5 tonne caged pick-up truck to numerous locations across Edinburgh and The Lothians to construction sites, businesses & homes in a timely manner
- conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs
Requirements
- van drivers must hold a full, clean UK driving license
- previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is desired
- all drivers must join the PVG scheme
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients
- experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous
- physical ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during deliveries
- strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining delivery records
- delivery driver experience: 1 year
