Responsibility

  • assisting with the planning and roll forward of the financial statements
  • co-ordination and review of key disclosures and analysis of key balances to be included in the financial statements
  • liaising with the external auditors in the delivery of support for the disclosures
  • co-ordination and communication with key stakeholders involved in the financial statements process including Tax, Legal, Disclosures, Accounting Policy, Risk, and Finance Senior Management
  • always ensures that the relevant people are kept informed

Requirements

  • knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and disclosure requirements
  • working towards qualification as ACA or equivalent with experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements would be preferred
  • knowledge of financial products which are used in the financial services industry, such as securities lending and repos, and an awareness of the issues would be preferred
