Responsibility

  • A visual inspection of the electrical installation and appropriate sample testing will also be undertaken as part of the process
  • the role will entail the undertaking of quality control inspections on electrical works carried out by others in social housing properties, and a thorough understanding and knowledge of domestic electrical installations will be required
  • the individual will be required to review reports/certification issued by Contractors to verify that they have been correctly completed, and that they reflect the true condition of an electrical installation

Requirements

  • calibrated Testing Equipment
  • safe Isolation Equipment Comprising of Proving Unit, Voltage Indicator, Suitable Locking Off Devices and Durable Signage
  • level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671
  • JIB Recognised Level 3 Qualification in Inspection and Testing
  • calibrated Torque Screwdriver
  • R2 Continuity Wander Lead
  • electro Technical Certification Scheme Approved
  • suitable Insulated Access Equipment
