Working hours

Responsibility

to work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
to advise the managers of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary
to work alongside existing staff to help create support and stimulating play experiences, and using appropriate language
to ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures
to attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for your development
to help to set up the nursery before the children arrive in the morning and to help to clean and tidy away at the end of each session
to undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the management, in accordance with the setting’s development plan and objectives
to keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff, which is acquired as part of the job

Requirements

all apprentices will be put onto a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator course for completion within 12 to 18 months
