deputy nursery manager
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- room based Deputy Manager for a Montessori Nursery , balancing the duties of Room Leader and Deputy
- this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a complete new nursery at outset
- where you can bring your ideas and experience to help build a setting from the ground up
- you would also be managing the nursery when the manager is off site
- the company is seeking who has the ability to work in a challenging, fast moving environment
- provide day to day care to children, hold responsibilities as a key person, plan fun and stimulating activities, do daily risk assessments, ensure the safety of children, basic cleaning during the day, train colleagues, maintain paperwork, step in for the manager when necessary and of course provide a fun and stimulating environment
- this means you have to be confident in implementing the EYFS framework, policies and procedures as well as mentoring and training staff
- as we are a Montessori Setting you need to ideally have experience of the Montessori Approach
Requirements
- hold a relevant
- have proven senior level experience in a setting with a 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted
- experience of working with large staff teams
- excellent staff management skills
- be passionate about providing the highest quality of childcare possible
- the ability to work on own initiative
- very strong written and verbal communication skills
- excellent understanding of Planning, Observations and Assessments
