hgv driver
Responsibility
- to carry out the required daily driver vehicle checks
- you will be responsible for the safe unloading and loading of various vehicles
- as a Flexible driver you will be required to work on Class 1 vehicles covering driver absences
- observing health and safety requirements
- you will be responsible for collecting waste / recyclable materials from our customers and delivering this to the requested sites
- be responsible for the safety of self and members of the public
- geographical knowledge to ensure efficient and effective travelling
- you will drive and operate either a walking floor or ejector trailer , using safe and efficient driving techniques in line with the customers’ requirements
Requirements
- class 1 HGV Driving License
- full CPC obtained
- experience of using a Digital Tachograph Card
- working knowledge of Driving Regulations and The Working Time Directive
- enthusiastic and committed
- understanding of Health and Safety obligations
- the ability to work under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems
- have a flexible approach to suit the business
