delivery driver
Responsibility
- safely and efficiently operate a delivery van to transport goods to customers
- plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- load and unload packages and ensure they are securely strapped down
- communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and provide exceptional customer service
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered
- adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
- perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery van to ensure it is in good working condition
Requirements
- valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred
- excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- ability to navigate using GPS or maps to find delivery locations
- familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
- comfortable with heavy lifting and carrying packages up to a certain weight limit
- must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- delivery driver experience: 1 year
